Dram Shop Law – Social Host Liability and Liability for Retail Licensees
Michigan’s dram shop laws prohibit the serving of alcohol to minors and those visibly intoxicated. In fact, people injured in accidents caused by serving alcohol to a visibly intoxicated person may have the right to bring a claim against the restaurant or bar that provided the alcohol.
