“I wanted to be a lawyer, and I wanted to represent people. As I went to law school and started understanding how the powerful and the well lawyered-up companies and insurers are able to dictate to the individuals who are seriously injured, I started thinking of myself as a golden rule enforcer. I like to be able to stand up in a courtroom and equalize the playing field.” ~ Steve Weston

Steve Weston

With over thirty-six years of experience representing the seriously injured and their families, Steve Weston understands the crucial role personal injury attorneys play as members of a client’s treatment team. He is dedicated to advocating for people seriously injured in auto accidents, including those with traumatic brain injuries and burn injury survivors, and has committed many years of his practice to the study and thorough understanding of these unique areas of law. Steve also dedicates his time working on cases that involve gasoline, propane, and natural gas explosions.

As a Kalamazoo personal injury attorney, a significant amount of Steve’s practice focuses on representing seriously injured people throughout Michigan. In addition to representing victims affected by defective productsunsafe premises, and automobile accidents in Kalamazoo and beyond, his experience in personal injury litigation is vast and far-reaching. He has represented burn survivors throughout Michigan and as far away as Illinois, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Steve measures his success based on satisfied clients and their improved access to the care, treatment, and services they need following their accident or injury. He is known for taking the extra time it requires to truly understand the needs of each individual and their family in order to obtain the results that will best serve them in their future endeavors. One of Steve’s clients said it best when they said:

“In my years of working in a hospital intensive care unit I saw many attorneys vying for cases. Some of those attorneys were lacking in both ethical standards and professionalism! When tragedy struck my family…..the first attorney I thought of calling was Steve Weston. Every time I observed him with ICU families he was ALWAYS kind, professional, and ethical.” – Brenda

Steve participates actively with care teams to work with his clients toward emotional recovery as well as financial recovery from life-changing trauma. As a result, he has achieved multiple multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. Best Lawyers in America has recognized Steve in its annual publication since 2010 and awarded him the distinction of Kalamazoo’s Lawyer of the Year in plaintiff’s personal injury litigation for 2019.
