Celebrating Mike Larkin
Honoring an extraordinary career, quiet leadership, and the lasting difference Mike made for clients, colleagues, and friends at the firm.
On June 1, 2026, Michael (“Mike”) E. Larkin retired from the Sinas Dramis Law Firm, bringing to a close a remarkable legal career defined by exceptional advocacy, professionalism, and a deep commitment to helping others.
Mike was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. He earned his undergraduate degree in Government and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame in 1979 and received his law degree from the University of Arizona Law School in 1982. He began his legal career with Haralson, Kinerk & Morey in Tucson, where he built the foundation for what would become more than four decades of accomplished legal practice. In 1988, he relocated to Michigan and joined the Sinas Dramis Law Firm, where he would go on to leave a lasting mark on the firm and on the many clients whose lives he touched.
Over the course of his career, Mike has represented thousands of injured individuals with extraordinary skill, determination, and unwavering professionalism. He earned the admiration of colleagues and the trust of clients through his quiet humility, disciplined work ethic, and effectiveness as a litigator. Those qualities, combined with his steady courtroom presence, made him a highly respected and persuasive advocate before judges and juries alike and, even more importantly, someone whose work made a meaningful difference in the lives of so many people.
Mike’s contributions extended far beyond his representation of clients. He also played an important and lasting role in the history and continued success of the Sinas Dramis Law Firm. When he joined the firm in 1988, it was navigating a pivotal period following the deaths of its two founders, Thomas G. Sinas in 1985 and Lee Dramis in 1981. Although some in the legal community questioned whether the firm would endure, those doubts ultimately proved unfounded. During that important period, George Sinas, Tim Donovan, Bernie Finn, and Mike helped guide the firm forward, laying the foundation for the next generation of growth and success, including the later additions of Bryan Waldman in the late 1990’s, Jim Graves 2001, and the many other talented attorneys who joined the firm thereafter. Mike’s role in helping sustain and strengthen the firm during that time remains an important part of its story.
Throughout his years at the firm, Mike was deeply respected and sincerely admired by attorneys and staff alike. As a partner, he exemplified a style of leadership defined by humility, steadiness, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to the firm and its people. His influence on the firm’s culture and direction has been lasting, and his retirement will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of working alongside him. Although no one can truly replace Mike, the firm remains committed to carrying forward the same spirit of integrity, collegiality, and quiet leadership that he demonstrated throughout his tenure. His contributions to the Sinas Dramis Law Firm are enduring, and as he begins this next chapter, all of us extend our heartfelt gratitude and warmest wishes for a retirement filled with joy, health, and time well spent with those he loves.
“Mike has meant so much to this firm and to all of us who have had the privilege of working with him. He led with humility, integrity, and a steady presence that earned the respect of everyone around him. We are deeply grateful for his years of friendship, leadership, and service, and wish him nothing but happiness in retirement.”
