Bri Risner is a Michigan personal injury attorney dedicated to defending the rights of those wrongfully injured by the negligence of another party. Bri started working at Sinas Dramis 8-years ago as a paralegal and had no intention of becoming a lawyer. After working at the firm for a few years, she decided that she wanted to have a bigger role in the legal system. So Bri took the LSAT and scored high enough that she got a full ride to law school. While achieving top marks in law school, Bri was also able to maintain her integral role as a paralegal for firm partner Bryan Waldman until she graduated in December of 2021. Bri took and passed the Bar Exam in July of 2022, and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in November. For Bri, connecting with her clients and helping them when they need it the most, made the decision to continue her legal career in personal injury, an easy one.
“I chose plaintiff’s personal injury because I wanted to work with individuals and not for a company. I love getting to know and connecting with our clients. I have learned many new things over the years from clients that I don’t think I would have been exposed to otherwise. For example, learning about the international opera scene and specialized areas of engineering” – Bri Risner
Outside of work, Bri loves to travel. She studied abroad during her sophomore year of college and ever since has enjoyed traveling to new places. She takes a yearly trip with her college friends to a new location. They try to alternate every year between an international location and somewhere in the States. Those places include Rome, Cinque Terre, & Turin, Italy; Barcelona, Spain; Reykjavik, Iceland; Oslo, Norway; Phoenix, Arizona; New Orleans, Louisiana; Orlando, Florida; and Saint Louis, Missouri. Additionally, she and her fiancé plan to visit all 50 states and enjoy taking day trips to explore new places in Michigan. They usually try to find an arcade bar in the area too. She has a dog, Uzumaki (named after an anime character), and two cats, Derek and Garcia (named after Criminal Minds characters). Other hobbies include spending quiet nights in with her fiancé and pets, game nights with friends, escape rooms, attending Lugnuts and Detroit Lions games, and going to local festivals. During Covid quarantine, Bri got back into jigsaw puzzles and tried to take up some hobbies, including relearning how to rollerblade (it’s a lot harder now than when she was 12!) and how to play the piano. She also likes to run/walk 5ks and has done a couple of half-marathons.
