New Medicare Regulations – FOX 17 Know the Law

Due to the increase in identity and financial theft among those age 65 and older, Medicare recipients are being assigned new “identifier” numbers and will no longer be using their Social Security numbers to obtain benefits. Cards with these new numbers will be mailed to Medicare recipients beginning April 2018. But be careful — scams have already started.
