Sinas Dramis Continues its Key Role in the Annual No-Fault Institute
The Sinas Dramis Law Firm is once again playing a leading role in the planning and presentation of Michigan’s premier legal seminar on the state’s auto no-fault law. With decades of experience in this complex and ever-evolving area, our firm continues to be recognized as a no-fault expert and a trusted partner in bringing this essential learning opportunity to attorneys from across the state.
Now in its 22nd year, the 2025 No-Fault Institute, hosted by the Michigan Association for Justice, is taking place October 23–24 in Novi. This annual event is designed to help attorneys stay current on Michigan’s evolving auto no-fault law, particularly in light of the significant changes that have reshaped the legal landscape in recent years.
Understanding the Changing Landscape
Originally enacted in 1973, Michigan’s auto no-fault law underwent sweeping legislative reform in 2019. These changes introduced a far more complex system that continues to pose challenges for individuals catastrophically injured in motor vehicle accidents as well as the medical providers who care for them.
This year’s Institute will focus on interpreting these changes and offer practical strategies for proving liability, understanding threshold injury requirements, and navigating the revised legal framework that directly impacts accident victims and their benefits.
For those seeking guidance in the aftermath of a crash, our experienced Lansing Personal Injury Lawyers and Grand Rapids Personal Injury Lawyers regularly assist clients in understanding their rights under Michigan’s no-fault system – ensuring that injured individuals receive the benefits and compensation they deserve.
A Legacy of Leadership in No-Fault Law
Our firm has long been at the forefront of Michigan’s no-fault legal community. In fact, Managing Partner George Sinas co-founded the No-Fault Institute in 2004 alongside his colleague and friend Wayne Miller of Miller & Tischler. For many years, George co-moderated and presented at the Institute, helping shape it into the vital continuing legal education resource it is today.
In 2021, George passed the torch to his son and Sinas Dramis Partner, Tom Sinas, who is continuing the firm’s legacy today. This year marks Tom’s fifth year co-coordinating and co-moderating the event with Wayne Miller. Tom will also present the session titled, “Auto Negligence/Tort Threshold Update.”
Sinas Dramis Attorneys Sharing Their Expertise
In addition to Tom, several Sinas Dramis attorneys will lend their no-fault expertise at this year’s Institute.
Stephen Sinas will provide updates on uninsured and underinsured motorist coverages – two critically important types of auto insurance that protect individuals injured by drivers who have no coverage or inadequate coverage for medical bills, lost wages, and other damages.
Katie Tucker will discuss the differences between the medical judgment of an injured person’s treating physician and that of an insurance-assigned doctor performing an independent medical examination. Katie leads our firm’s No-Fault Medical Provider Practice Group, working to recover unpaid bills from insurance companies on behalf of Michigan medical providers
Continuing a Proud Tradition

With offices in Lansing, Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, Kalamazoo, and Metro-Detroit, we remain committed to educating attorneys, advocating for accident victims, and helping to shape a legal system that works for the injured people it’s meant to protect.
